Fly Ash
Captured in electro-static precipitators (ESP) as a by-product of coal-combustion, and subject to selective extraction or processing/ classification* to control its particle size and distribution (fineness)
If unutilised, it is disposed into ash ponds as ‘Pond Ash’
Conditioned Ash
Fly Ash either selectively extracted from ESP or processed / classified* and then conditioned with 10-15% moisture content (added externally) for efficient bulk handling and shipping. It is then dried again before use.
Furnace Bottom Ash
Coarse, granular, dark, porous, incombustible by-product collected in furnaces during coal combustion. It has similar chemical properties to Fly Ash, but with a sand-like gritty texture. It is disposed into dedicated ash ponds in slurry form.
Ultrafine Fly Ash
Multi-stage processed / classified Fly Ash with extremely fine particle size and spherical shape, making it a highly reactive pozzolan for high performance concrete, high strength applications. It replaces silica fume / microsilica / ultrafine slag.
