Fly Ash
Fly Ash is a fine powder captured by electrostatic precipitators (ESP) during coal combustion. It undergoes selective extraction, processing, or classification to achieve controlled particle size and distribution, enhancing its suitability for various industrial applications.
If not utilized, it is stored in ash ponds and referred to as ‘Pond Ash’.
Conditioned Ash
This type of Fly Ash is either directly extracted from ESP or processed/classified before being moistened with 10-15% water to facilitate bulk handling and transportation. Before use, it undergoes a drying process to restore its properties for industrial applications.
Furnace Bottom Ash
A coarse, porous, and incombustible by-product formed during coal combustion, Furnace Bottom Ash has a sand-like texture while sharing similar chemical properties with Fly Ash. It is typically disposed of in ash ponds in slurry form but also has potential applications in construction and roadwork.
Ultrafine Fly Ash
